5thIGS set me up with an amazing, customized internship outside of Katmandu. I worked with a leading non-profit to help villagers improve water quality. Waterborne illness is a major problem in the region, and I conducted sampling and documented my findings to the village elders as well as to the Nepalese government. The NGO I interned with was super organized and made a big difference in the lives they touched. I did a presentation in front of upper management on educational techniques I designed to help improve local understanding of the water supply and the importance of protecting it. I achieved all my main objectives that I set out coming into the internship.
Thanks so much IGS!-- Anna Miller
